Did I Play This Right?

2-table SnG, 8 players left (payout is 4), I'm on the button, dealt 9s. Blinds are 75/150, I raise to 600. Get 1 caller (BB), and another player raises all-in to 1060. I call his raise. Flop comes 10-6-4, and BB goes all-in for 4200. I have T3500 left, so he has me a bit covered. I lay down the 9s. BB turns over AQo, caller turns over 8s. Flop-turn-river, my hand would've been good. Caller wins with his 8s. Is this what's wrong with my game? Have I lost my, um...balls?

Hindsight is 20/20. I should've stuck with it. Did I play this right??

Update: Now 4-handed, in 2nd place with T6233 (chip leader has T14571)...

Update: Winner.

I think you did fine, I probably would have folded pre-flop actually, fearing a higher pair.

However, when it gets close to the bubble, people like to either start playing super agressive to build up the chips they'll need to take first, or just quietly fold ITM. You just have to pick which one works for you!

Fold Pre-flop!?! It cost him ~400 to get into a ~3000 po, and you say fold pre-flop?

You made the right play, btw. Enforced by the fact that you won the tournament. You don't need to put your tournament at risk with a pair of nines with an overcard and two other players in the pot.

You lived to fight another day, and kept enough chips to fight effectively.
